Maurice Phillips FCCA, CTA, MAAT, ATT
Having qualified in 1997, Maurice has experience in many fields including taxation, accounts preparation and company secretarial work. He is a Chartered Certified Accountant and a Chartered Tax Advisor. a qualification he studied for after qualifying as an accountant.
He has worked in a mixture of small firms, City firms and in industry.
He enjoys spending time with his family, walking his three dogs, the outdoors and listening to and writing music.
Michael Stern FCA
Michael Stern FCA qualified with honours in 1964 having specialised in UK tax of both individuals and companies since 1962. Michael has more than 50 years’ experience in Revenue Matters including investigations, reconstructions and the impact of foreign taxation.
He was a partner in Percy Phillips & Co., Halpern & Woolf and a consultant with Cohen Arnold before setting up this Firm in 1997.
He was Member of Parliament for Bristol North West from 1983 to 1997 during which time he held office as Vice Chairman of the Conservative Party as well as being Parliamentary Private Secretary to two ministers. He was Secretary to the Public Accounts Committee for nearly five years. Apart from the above, he plays chess and is a rambler.
